The goal of the Gene OntologyTM (GO) Consortium is to produce a dynamic controlled vocabulary that can be applied to all organisms even as knowledge of gene and protein roles in cells is accumulating and changing.
Gene Ontology 2 PDB allows to search the Protein Data Bank with GO terms.
Search strings must consist of at least four characters. Possible GO names can be obtained from the GO2PDB mapping file .
The GO2PDB mapping is done by combining the UniProt/PDB cross reference scheme of the JenaLib and the mapping of UniProt KEYWORDS to GO terms provided by UniProt.
120337 PDB entries where linked via 39627 UniProt entries to 19325 GO terms.
You may also want to try the Gene Ontology Keyword Search on the atlas pages, e.g 1GKG .
