Molar ellipticity is not the only way to report circular dichroism data (even is the most widely diffused).
An equivalent way is to report the molar CD itself which is the difference in molar extinction coefficient for right and left polarized lights (i.e. the difference in absorption for a 1M solution in a 1cm cuvette). This quantity is linked to the molar ellipticity by the following conversion factor:
Please note that the dimensions of the molar CD are 1/ (M cm)!!!
